Participants will engage in an interactive poll or word cloud activity to visualize common struggles in their classrooms. Following this, a brief introduction to AI in education will provide an overview of its role in lesson planning, particularly in social studies. Educators will explore key ways AI can assist in adjusting content for different reading levels, generating diverse question types, and developing adaptive instructional strategies.In the next segment, participants will engage in live demonstrations of AI tools such as ChatGPT, MagicSchool AI, and Gammas AI. They will see firsthand how AI can modify historical texts for varying Lexile levels, scaffold discussion prompts, and create differentiated assessments. Teachers will then have an opportunity for hands-on practice, where they will explore an AI tool of their choice to modify an existing lesson or generate new instructional materials.
